Deducto ("the app", "we") is a receipt-scanning app that turns photos of receipts into a tax-ready expense spreadsheet. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what happens to it.

When you scan a receipt, the photo is transmitted securely to Anthropic, an AI provider, which reads the receipt and returns the extracted fields. This happens only after you explicitly consent inside the app, before your first scan. Photos sent for extraction are used solely to produce your receipt data.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat, which shares only your subscription status with us.
Your data is retained while your account exists. You can delete individual receipts at any time, and you can delete your entire account — including every receipt photo and all extracted data — directly in the app: Settings → Delete account & all data. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Receipt photos are stored in a private bucket scoped to your account; database access is enforced per-user with row-level security.
Deducto is a business/finance tool, is not directed at children, and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
